Directions for making collections in natural history

By H. King. Washington: Printed by Gales and Seaton, 1840.

Hundreds of small publications transferred from the general collections, including Linnaean dissertations and a botanical manuscript with hand-drawn and -colored illustrations, are taped or glued into old acidic "pamphlet" folders that need to be replaced.

Condition and Treatment:

Remove the pamphlet was from the acidic housing and re-house it in a custom made enclosure. Retain the original paper wrapper and insert acid free interleaving paper between the wrapper and the text.
